It can be used in the garden as a weed supressor. It can also be used as a heat retainer if you have pallet or wooden type compost bin or as covering if you have a compost pit.

Hi monalitto

If there are allotments around you they might take it, as it can be used as a weed suppressor as dee1 said or for making pathways (just cover with bark or chippings). Might be worth a try?

in a new 2nd home recently for a disabled person, the paving outside the back door, large square area was slightly uneven and i worried about this, could we use old carpet here and cover it with something, chippings may prove a bit unstable for the persons footing in this instance?
any suggestions for covering the old carpets bar, chippings, bark or gravel?
