JumbleTown Archive

Hi Everyone,

We have made a number of changes to the web site in the last 24 hours, which I would like to briefly outline.

In our on-going efforts to minimize the number of non-answering posts/ads, we have added a new instruction page before a Member Adds an Item to JumbleTown. This clearly outlines the "best practices" that we would like all our Members to adhere to. This new page can be viewed here:http://www.jumbletown.ie/forums/interpage.php

In addition, we have created a new JumbleTown Archive. The Archive will hold all posts/ads from non-responsive Givers. We have already moved a number of posts to this Admin section, and will continue to do so as the need arises.

Dave,
could your system be modified to arrange replies to automatically go as a PM + public viewing ( or for subscribers to make a choice how they wish to deal with their reponse).
would this simplify matters or create problems ?
regards,
Neville

Hi Neville,

Allow me to briefly outline what happens when posts/ads are placed on JumbleTown.

When a Member places an ad on JumbleTown, they are automatically 'subscribed' to that ad. This means they will receive an email when someone replies to the ad, therefore Givers know that an enquiry has been made.

Whenever you send a PM to another Member they also receive an email letting them know they have a new PM.

So to answer your question, replies currently go as notification emails, not PMs.

Does this make things any clearer?
