Hi, just wondering(as im new here) i replied to an add for something and the person who is giving it, hasnt replied back,i dont even know if the person knows i replied to the add, how long should i wait for the person to reply??

Hi Mark,
Some people reply to everyone, some to no one. Sometimes others send them a pm (private message) and they get the item and the giver does not notify all the rest. The giver should mark the item Reserved or Taken if it is, but sometimes they don't bother and the item is just sent to archives in the end. Most Jumbletowners are really nice, but you always the get few.

I spotted an add, that had no replys, so i was the first to reply,
i also sent a pm to the person. but im still waiting on a reply,

maybe i should just give it more time? ill check back later and tomoro,b4 i give it the elbo :)

JumbleTown's Update Policy can be found at the top of all the Givers' forum:

Givers are automatically notified by email if an expression of interest has been made by a potential Taker.

Don't give up hope yet, some people don't have full time access to the internet and only get online once or maybe twice a week through internet cafes. Other than that, the reasons are endless, as to why. Good luck.

Hiya badboy and welcome to jt. If you click on the persons name and go to their public profile, to the right hand side it should show their last activity (last time they logged on) - maybe they haven't been on the site since you replied? Maybe there are personal circumstances preventing them from logging on. Patience is a virtue. Wait and see. And you can always send a polite little pm to them. Worth a try and hope you're lucky - it's like Christmas when you get something! Keep us informed of your "virginity" status won't ya! We love to hear when someone gets or gives their first item through this site.
