woodchip or sawdust "cooker"

i cut my own fire wood when i can find trees
i get a 40 gal drum cut the top off put a 2 inc hole in center
of the end put a handle of a fork in the hole. fill all round and up to 10 inc
from top with saw dust pack good and tight
put the drum on 2 concret blocks and take out the handle . lite
small fire under and the saw dust will take light you have no smoke
and it will stay burning for around 4 days.handy for cooking on put a
pot in and use the top u cut off to cover.

that sounds like a cool idea

i might try that on a smaller scale with a 25 liter metal bucket,in case i have a fire for 4 days out of control

Brilliant idea! My Dad had one of these years ago, think I'll make a small one for the greenhouse.
