Attic Flooring

Could anyone advise me of a company that supply and fit flooring in an attic for storage? At a reasonable price!!! I already have an attic stairs, but with the amount of junk hubby has up there I can hardly move in the place and I need to get flooring done so we can store properly. We can't try to floor it ourselves, hubby is useless at DIY and there are so many support beams going back and forward from the roof that I wouldn't know where to begin. I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advance. Athy55

Athy55 are you sure you're not me in disguise? Haha! That was my situation a couple of years ago. We got about 4 quotations and they ranged between €20,000 to €43,000!!! Pity our guys aren't interested in DIY, after all, I'm not interested in cooking and I still managed to produce a family meal every day for the last 30 years!! Heehee!

Thanks Kitty, I'll try that site. I'd have a go at doing it myself if there weren't so many beams coming from the roof, not sure I'd have the skill to cut round them and unfortunately when I want a job done I want it done right, so yes TickTock that does count my hubby out. I tell him he's afraid to try anything just in case he discovers he might be good at it. Three years ago he didn't know how to turn on a laptop computer. Now he strips them down, add in bits, repairs broken one or uses them for parts.Mention the word computer and his eyes light up, mention any diy job and they glaze over! Honest to God, if he didn't collect so much bloody junk I wouldn't need the attic floored in the first place!

I sympathise and empathise! Y'know our guys are really Superman in disguise.....all they need is the cape and they'll soon fly!!!! Ya gotta luv 'em.

Ladies Ladies, time to learn some DIY. My son used to call me Handy Man Ma because I tackled all the DIY myself (I was a single mum for 16 years), its not that difficult, get a good diy book and try it out.
