OMG they are absolutely gorgeous! I am sure whatever you do they will enhance your garden bigtime! I think making a feature of them somehow would really show them at their best. Can't wait to see what you do!
Lucky you!

Hi, Have you used the bricks by now?

If you haven't you could build a small raised flower bed, using some of the old type bricks as a base and putting the glass ones on top. Children, if there are any around, would like to see the worms and roots of whatever you are growing. Just a thought.

You are so lucky to have these. You could use them to build a small sunny area to sit in, starting with old bricks up to seat level continue with glass bricks. Complete it with a roof for your own secret hideaway. Good luck with whatever you choose.
If there's anyone out there with some of these bricks to give away, this pensioner would be so pleased.

I don't know why I got your message. I have no glass bricks- never have had, but, like yourself, would like to have them. Good luck.

That was a nice gift to get. How many to a box?
I have a wall of them in my house (from counter height up to the apex of a sunroom ceiling) and I love them. If you go more than 2 or 3 rows high, you need to use metal rods across the row to keep them stable (tied into whatever the uprights are). I think they were 'mortared' in similarly to bricks, but they have a white grout. I should have got that sealed, and keep meaning to do it, to make it easier to clean the wall, but they are not too bad.
I have velux windows in each of the rooms the glass block wall separates, so in winter, the sun comes in and shines through the blocks to the other room, depending on time of day.
I haven't been able to shrink the photo sufficiently to upload it, so here is a link to picasaweb, where you should be able to see it ok.

Have you used these yet, I'd love to know how. If not could you place them in the ground perhaps around a fence or along a path and put different coloured lights under?
