Recommended Wax for Protecting Painted Furniture

Hi Everyone, I am just finishing my first attempt at painted furniture. I want to add some protection to the finish as its for the kids room. It's a wardrobe & I have dulux satinwood paint on it.
I'm thinking wax as its painted an off white colour so I have heard the polyurethane or varnish will yellow it in time.

Any recommendations would be great.

You can use briwax, or bees wax , just apply with a cloth and buff it up

Good Luck
