Need advice on turning a window blind into a shower screen...

Ok this is the window blind I want to transform...

I want something original and eyecatching for my shower screen, and since I can't get an ordinary one, because the bath is curved, I decided to make one.

The bathroom, as you can see in the "Before and After" section...

...is cream and brown, and I want the decor to be as "natural" as possible.

So, I thought, if I could use this blind as my shower screen, with the old cream and brown shower curtain stuck on for backing and waterproofing, it would look pretty cool.

Question is, what sort of glue do I use to stick bamboo and shower curtain together?

blind

You could try PVC glue, but I think that the bamboo blind will get mildew with the water and steam in the bathroom, have some in my conservatory and in winter they got some mildew, just a thought, good luck with it!

How about a length of 'hoops and loops' with a stickey backing? Stick one side to the curtain and the other to the blind. You can get this in a roll perhaps in DIY shops or fabric shops.
Bathroom is looking great. Well done. All the best

I had one of these blinds in the kitchen and had to throw it out after a relatively short time, it grew mildew really quickly. It was above the sink and didnt take well to the damp, maybe a different material might be more suitable?

but if you are determined to try it, you could clip them together at the top using the shower curtain hangers?

I don't think mildew will be a problem. I've had the bamboo blinds in the kitchen and bathroom the last year and they still look brand new. Not a spore.

I was wondering if copydex glue might work...it's for material, and has to be waterproof because it's what's used for glueing gems and things on clothes.
