Wardrobe Doors - Attic Room
Hi All,
I'm looking for some ideas for doors for a wardrobe in my bedroom. It is an attic room so they are built in on a slope but they do not have any doors yet. I will post a pic later. Thanks, R |

i used 10m tongue and grooved timber for my doors, you can get packs for around,15 euro in any hardware store, they look great varnished and are very easy to cut

Thanks for the reply.
I will have a look at those boards in B&Q at the weekend. Would defo be easier to cut them than a large sheet as I only have a handsaw and not an electric saw. Thanks, R |
MDF Sheeting
Have u thought of MDF sheeting?
If you bring the measurements with you B&Q will do all the cuts for you. Add a few pieces of moulding for trim and paint it what ever colour u want or apply some fabric for a real plush finish. Bring one of the doors to the glass shop and they will cut a mirror for you. Would piano hinge be a good idea as it spreads the load and it can only go on in a straight line saving you trying to line up hinges? Best of luck. |
MDF sheeting is a good way to cover up wardrobe and as it ensures long life and guards against dust and decay. I had my wardrobe done and it works fine till date. roofing contractor

Attic Wardrobes
Hi, My sister had the same problem with her attic wardrobes so while she was trying to make up her mind she decided to take her time making her decision and in the interim she just put up a curtain wire and hung 2 curtains on it (in complimentary colours to the room). Although it was done cheaply, it looked wonderful!!

I recently had a similar dilemma, although it was under stairs I was dealing with. I planned how I wanted it layed out, including drawers etc, I then bought 2 sheets of 8'x4' pine and cut all my doors from them. A router to finish off the edges and a few coats of varnish and I'm delighted with the results.
Personally speaking I'd go pine before MDF all day long...! :-) Here's a link to a pic. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps0395b716.jpg |
