Recycled spoons to clock.
1 Attachment(s)
I had a dozen vintage silver teaspoons so of course my thoughts went to clocks, twelve numbers etc. I was looking for a while before finding the right background--a metal candle plate, which I got for €2. I drilled a hole in the centre and attached a clock movement-€1.50 from Amazon. Next I glued the spoons in place using a hot glue gun and that was it--a new clock for €3.50. It reminds me there is always time for tea. An added bonus is that the spoons can be removed without any damage to them because the hot glue solidifies and is easily removed.

Precious spoons
Little did I realise when I made the clock that the lady who gave them to me would pass away suddenly. She died on New Year's Day. The clock will remind me that time waits for no-one, not to waste a minute, and to enjoy it all. R.I.P. Deirdre.
