Glimpses of Erin 1934 (from MGM, USA)
We've changed a lot...
|
This is Brilliant.....
It's a beautiful look at how Ireland used to be, and I laughed when I saw the advert on the side of the Bus, driving past Trinity college...''Jeyes Fluid'' (and That was 1934) and it's still used today.. On another note....not many people in Ireland today are ''living off the Land'' as many were back then.. Well done for finding this video clip, Cheers The Mammy |
A lovely nostalgic film. I was nearly expecting a leprechaun to hop out somewhere LOl!

Old Ireland
Aw Chris this was beautiful. Unfortunately I have no sound as my speakers are gone but the imagery was fantastic. Please keep this up for while. I don't know but can you freeze frame as I would love to paint some or part of the images portrayed. Kind regards.

What a Christmas Eve treat..
That was great. The whole family....kids,parents and grandparents just watched the film and we were all amazed. The children could not believe Dublin as they were born there but now live in Galway which equally amazed them. But Gran dad was delighted ( he ain't that old yet) but was there when Nelsons' pillar blew up...but he just told us that somehow we are related to Nelson....

Really nice to see what Dublin was like all those years ago
