Mad crazy funky sofa
2 Attachment(s)
I created this sofa 10 years ago during a phase of hightened creativity using lots of kitsch found objects. I had some fake fur that I hadn't used (apart from making a pair of trousers out of them!!!), was given lots of toys by friends with children and picked up cheap beads and plastic flowers and this is what evolved (or erupted more like!). Aaah, I had youth on my side ... :-)

Big bright sofa
It's fab. Just what the world needs to brighten up a recession! It will never get woodworm but might be at risk of greenfly!
Sofas just don't come funkier than that! |

Beautiful
What a fantastic job and your imagination is terrific - one of the coolest things I've seen in sometime :)
are the pieces stitched on or glued? |
Hi Bluebell Girl
Everthing was glued with a glue gun (including my hands at many stages throughout the process). It was all done in a very haphazard way but it was one of the most enjoyable projects I have created to date. I glued the fake fur on first, directly onto the sofa, then the flowers and beads. I keep promising myself to do an upholstery course at some stage. Imagine the fun I could have then!
