Hi Owl,

We do have a subscriptions system, of sorts, but at the moment it doesn't send instant emails when an item is added to a forum, only daily.

When you click the "Subscribe to this Forum" option a new window will open; from there you have an option to receive daily or weekly emails about new items added to a particular forum.

As far as I know, there are no plans to introduce an instant email alert system such as you suggest. Basically, chance plays a big part in whether or not a Member gets an item.

There is also a notification service whereby an email is automatically generated whenever someone makes a post on an ad/thread that you have also made a post on. This keeps interested parties up-to-date on the Giving and Taking process.

The subscription to a thread/ad option box is at the very bottom of the pop-up page where you write your post enquiring about an item. You can also edit your subscriptions (subscribe or unsubscribe to ads) by clicking on the "User CP" [User Control Panel] button to the left of the log-in area.
