[ agree with you, they should be subsidised at least. I guess though that we are meant to put compost material in the brown bin. I would really love to make my own compost but the price of the bins...

I try to steam them off but I use a little paste to stick them back again. It is unbelievable how many stamps are not franked. Waste not, want not!

odd socks.
I use odd socks for tying plants to stakes. They have give in them so do not cut into plants and are far kinder to tender plants than twine is.
