If you want it really shiny - you will probably have to use gloss clear varnish, and not satin. Mine is not as shiny as it looks in the photos. Is just that the sun is shining...

I have used satin clear varnish. I have never used waxed as I am not really familliar with it and I have never restored furniture in my life before last year when I started collecting...

I have used 2 coats of antique pine stain and 2 coats of clear varnish.

Restored Wardrobe

I got this wardrobe from dublinwaste.ie about a year ago. I only finished it recently. It's not spectacular - but a lot of work went into it - as it was very old and scratches were very deep.

The tiles from snowdaisy made the difference. Imagine that wall between the presses all white! No way !!!

Tiles from snowdaisy

I got some beige-pink-ish tiles from snowdaisy a couple of months ago and have used them in combination with some bumpy white in our kitchen and I am delighted with the results. Thank you snowdaisy!
