Hi,
what the main problems with the bath that require cleaning? is the paint just dull or has it stains on it?
To get it back glossy looking you can use T-cut (the car stuff)
50:50 water & vinegar mix ( or the vinegar & lemon mix), will remove limescale but you have to avoid getting it on the enamel, so you'd have to use a toothbrush, using a blunt razor will make it quicker once you be careful.
For stains you can fill the bath with warm water & add a few scoops of Bio washing powder & leave over night or as long as you can
Bad stains need scrubbing with either a cream of tartar & peroxide mix or salt & turps
Also Biocarbonate of soda is great for cleaning.
Hope something there helps you
Forgot to say if it's at the point where it's got stained from the enamel being worn away, you may have to resort to buying a tin of enamel paint & repainting it. They are a nightmare when the enamel wears & no matter how much you scrub & scrub & clean & clean to get it white... a few weeks later it's grubby looking again.
