The 2 times I've had problems were sorted thus.

1. wire from an underwire bra stuck in little holes on side of drum, check the drum and pull them out..

2. Drum bearing gone. A service guy said it wasn't worth fixing it, he was dead right unless you are prepered to fix it yourself. The bearing cost about €3 but took a good few hours to to remove and refit the new one. I did it myself and it work fine for another 4 years.
