If you have a corner of ground to spare, you can make them into a heap of their own and dampen them down slightly or add a small compost mix to them, they will eventually breakdown,as the worms get to it.and give you lovely compost you can keep adding just remember to turn it.Can be contained with lettuce wire fence.If youve a wormery all the better.In the bags it can take a couple of years to break down but if gathered and bagged when wet and with holes in the bags it seems to break down a bit quicker dont know why,this is just what i was taught.
