The Christmas period generates...
- an additional 80,000 tonnes of waste or 170 million used packaging containers;
- 23,000 tonnes of cardboard and paper packaging;
- enough glass, wine, and beer bottles that, if laid out end-to-end, would stretch a distance of over 9,000 kilometres.
