Thanks very much for the fast replies and encouragement, I've been looking through that website you provided the link to and would love to try one in particular, it seems exactly what I want, not sure if we would have the skills necessary so am going to print off the instructions and diagrams and get son to ask woodwork teacher's advice. My other option is the PVC pipes one, that is so simple yet would never have thought of it! Thanks a million, and of course I'll show before and after if anyone is interested, this could take a while though because we're trying to do it in secret and hubby hasn't much work at mo so is always in the house (he's a builder).
