I don't know if you have solved the problem you are having. I am reading a magazine and in the tips section it gives one for cleaning tarnish from silver.
'Save the water after boiling potatoes and use it to clean your silver. It removes tarnish, leaving your valuables sparkling!'
If nothing else has worked, maybe this will.
