Ref Foam
Hi There,
I thought I would pass on my money saving tip!I have been looking for some foam for a while to make a padded seat for the top of a monks bench, the foam I saw was very expensive,so whilst browsing in a charity shop,I spotted a cot mattress in very good condition, which I purchased for €3.00 & they threw in the cot pillow! So I measured the top of the blanket box & drew the outline in pencil on the mattress & cut through it with my electric knife, worked a treat. Will post pictures when project is completed! good thinking! i did similar
yep, great lateral thinking!
i had a foam mattress which KILLED me so it had to go. but i saved it and cut it up and used it as a swingseat 'mattress' and a back to it. its far better here as you lie on it for less time but very comfortable indeed. my twin also has some for her swingseat too, so it never got wasted. |

That's a great idea Radharc, I have put an ad up for a couple of cot matresses as I have a project that they would be perfect for
Thanks! |
