![]() Hi Minnie Pal
I was reading through an Alan Titchmarsh book I got from Pepperpixie and he does a section on alpines, I could copy a few pages and post them to you if you would like, just send me a PM with your details (give me a few days). I think they are easy enough to grow they just need plenty of grit worked in with the soil he had a nice idea of growing them in a sink. I know I saw some in B & Q. Re. bamboo I have some in my garden but picked out some that is clump forming cos some of them are very invasive so be careful and to be used carefully in a small garden. Hope this helps Sparkwell |

![]() check out alpines on ur internet and books in ur local library.
B&Q do an alpine section for 5 plants for €7. An alpine garden is ideally a gravel/rock garden area but they will thrive in a belfast sink if u could get ur hands on one. They are low spreading plants that mind themselves. some have beautiful flowers also. some self seed such as saxifage (check spelling) and houseleeks have bulb lets that you just cut off with a root and plant up. good luck with it. |
