![]() this is by way of 'not wasting money' on these very expensive items - through experience i know of these things:
Elderly people over say 70 or even under if of a nervous disposition, or shaky even with neurodegenerative problems love the idea of a mobility scooter because they feel it will be so great to be mobile again. that age group will be nervous on a pavement, its like an obstacle and even more worried about crossing the road as well. Many give up after one or two tries, or even after two or three months. most give up via the coffin. you now have a perfectly good item costing a lot of money. remember the difference between a three wheeler and a four. with three there is less stabilization which many fear for this reason for once on you 'feel' this one power on offer 4mph or 8mph, older people dont seem to cope well with 8mph. 4mph woud drive you nuts too. many of the fold into back of cars are the 4mph never leave a scooter capable being put int the boot unattended as this can happy so quickly. many on private sale sites sound good but on view better than not ver good. the old usuallys ok, seats etc but the steering an ve the awful parts,]xannn |
