Default Locations on wanted ads??

This has bothered me for a while now.. Why can't people just put there location on their ads in the wanted section is it just me or is this so annoying. I feel that it would make using the wanted section a lot more effective if users can easy see where the person is located. Maybe admin should not allow ad be posted in wanted section without a location??? What you think?

Thanks for the reminder, Betty Boo 69.

Members using the Wanted forum should take note of Admin's posts at the top of the listings, and the following one in particular:

Default Location, Location, Location

Hi Betty Boo 69,

I agree totally, it actually is really annoying. Its so easy to add your location under your username, then everybody knows whats easily accessible to you. If somebody is willing to travel further, they can add that to their ad.

Best Wishes, Nono

I agree - it would be helpful to have the location under the username.

I'm actually really, really surprised that more people havent responded to this post. Looks like not a lot of people look at the "wanted" posts. !!!!!!!!

Hi nono,

The Wanted Forum is probably the busiest part of the site in terms of posts by those seeking items. We have no data relating to the number of actual Givers who view and post in that forum but it is obviously less than that of potential Takers.

As I've said on a few other threads, the Wanted forum was very much an afterthought and never intended to play a major role on JumbleTown. The site is more about "I have this item -- do you want/need it?" rather than "I want/need this item -- do you have it?"

We limit the Wanted forum to 50 pages (around 1,200 ads) to keep it at a manageable size and to ensure that ads are relatively recent.

Members should use the "Search This Forum" at the top right of the Wanted forum's listings. This pulls up a list of any item that is specified.

Regards
