Thank you

I saw it, but we have a large area, its over an old patio and sort of a drive around the house, so we can't dig it up, etc.

We looking for ideas on how to kill weeds on a large area.

sea salt works very well it will kill moss and weeds. Just sprinkle a layer over your weeds and repeat in a few days. Boiling water is also brilliant at killing weeds

I was looking this up myself a few days ago for the driveway, I've tried the boiling water trick in the past but honestly it's too much effort and not worth it, I'm going to try what is suggested in this post

http://www.gardenplansireland.com/forum/about146.html

As you can see the salt factor is one to watch out for as nothing will grow in the area after applied, so more suited to areas that you won't want anything to grow.

All we need now is a sunny day......lol

A good tip to get rid of moss on a path is washing soda crystals. Sprinkle on the path and then water in (rain does the trick too so long as its not too heavy). the moss dies off in a couple of days and can be brushed or hosed off.
