Default Any Ideas, Please? (14" fire-back & grate)

I purchased a beautiful antique fireplace, however the builder has told me that I need a 14" fire-back & grate, he has told me that he has tried everywhere for these & they cannot be got anymore.
I have put an adv. in Wanted Sect. but no responce. I am not looking for these for free, perhaps, one of my JT colleagues may know where these can be purchased.
Thanks a mill,
Bunty

Don't know about the back but a welder should be able to make the grate for you. My father was a welder when he was alive and used to make loads of these and they lasted for years.

Default foundry

hi bunty,
i think that may be the answer, my dad got ours made at a local foundry years ago, cos twas an unusual size, also kilkenny architectural salvage could be good if you're in the area, they have a website.
