Default recycled frames

No before and after this time! I had most of these frames already (or got them from charity shops). In our new house I want to hang pictures that I love, or that inspire me over the computer desk. So what better than greeting cards or postcards? The picture with the indian is my 6 yr olds favourite (mad about cowboys and indians) and it was his idea to attach the toy spear to the frame. Not only is the picture beautiful, but the sentiment behind it is too. This card came from a Jumbletown friend, Bree, last Christmas. The postcards also came from friends, and mean so much more than bought pictures from shops. And much cheaper too!

Now all I have to do is convince the other half to make even more holes in the wall to hang them up ( wish me luck!)

Well done it looks like a very perfessional job.
I especially love the first one. The spear was a nice touch.

Thanks Linn! Sam (being all of 6 years old) was afraid the indian would need a spare spear so this was the only solution I could come up with! He is still deciding on the indians name but the horse has been christened Thunder (to go with the lightning in the picture).

Hi shonastar,
These look great.I love the spear. It shows that you can really personalise pictures. I had a frame that can hold 3 photos and before christmas I didn't have the time to look for nice photos to fill it so I just put in some nice christmas cards. It looked really well.
For sports photos you could hang medals on the frame.I think you may have started a trend. I'l be going around the house like a mad woman looking for things to stick on frames.(LOL).
Regards

Hi Scrabble, you are not the only mad woman running around the house! Your username made me think of an old scrabble game (as yet unfound!) which might be in the attic. How fantastic would it be to use old scrabble tiles to write names or words to stick on the frames. Thank you for the inspiration!!
Kind regards x

You did a beautiful job there Shonastar, and just goes to show that Sam has picked up his artistic ways from his Mom the spear really sets it of :)
Thanks for giving the card a new lease of life & for posting.
Bree
btw there was an Indian Chief named "Iron Thunderhorse" :)
