laminate/chipboard wardrobe-to paint?
Yes, tis sad! I have had it since moving home and its sentimental but can you paint 80's laminate fake wood chipboard? I want it to be cream now, I have plans but first want to know if it can be painted.
advice gratefully received. xminnie pal |

Hi Minnie pal
yes it can prime it first ,now depends on what you want to paint it with gloss or oil or paint and grain either way it has to be primed first with base coat and then finish coat Regards Pat |

Paint
I bought Laminate Primer for my very retro Kitchen Cabinets, Pricey enough, Also bought paint especially for Laminate and perhaps its because its in the kitchen, (getting alot of ware) but its all chipping off,
I sanded and all first,Then two coats of Melamine primer and two coats of Liquid cream gloss, But alas think i need new doors,The brown flecks of old are driving me insane. Best of luck with yours, Hope it works out. |
