REVAMP Longford
Revamp Longford is a FAS funded project where trainees learn now to restore and re-upholster furniture, which is then sold to the public at the Revamp store on the Athlone Road in Longford. They collect (not sure how far they go) furniture from takers. It is a very worthwhile project and I think if JT members are having difficulty getting takers for their items, it might be worth giving them a call on 043-48876. There may be other such projects around the country, which I think deserve a mention. The work they do is in the same mould as JT. Obviously, some items on JT will fly but some just dont and rather than see them end up in a skip, I think this is an option to consider.
