Default Really Really Need To Know [Re: Missing Posts]

How do replies get removed????????. I replied to 2 threads 2nite (both posted by the same Jumbletowner). The first one 'Dora Sleeveless Jacket', the 2nd one 'Chinese Pyjamas'. For the first time ever I was the first to reply (within a few minutes of the threads being posted). Got emails telling me there were more replies to threads I had posted to so I went back to Jumble Town but low and behold. my replies were gone !!!!! WHERE DID THEY GO TO??

Hi nono,

I'm not 100% sure what happened to your posts on the ads/threads in question but the following MAY be the reason: these items were marked "Collection Only" (from Blessington), and if memory serves me right, several people enquired whether the items could be posted -- the Giver responded that they could not.

Admin routinely prunes "superfluous" posts from ads/threads (especially at the early stages of the Giving and Taking process) as such posts often deter other potential Takers from posting on the thread because they presume the item may already have been Taken.

So, nono, if your posts enquired about postage, most probably they were pruned from the ad.

You mention that for the first time ever you were the first to reply to an ad/thread. Being first may help, but Givers are free pass on their items to the first, second or even tenth respondent.

Regards
Chris P
