![]() bought a beautiful tiny kidney shaped retro side table with tapering legs today for six euro in charity shop, i love it. Dark wood, maybe mahogony, but it does have a stain on it, maybe someone put a hot dinner plate on it, how would i remove it, its not greatly noticable but you would see it though.
minnie pal suggestions greatly appreciated. I just love this wee table and am chuffed! |

![]() Rubbing a cut walnut on wood gets rid of scratches, you could try that before you polish with natural beeswax polish

![]() Hi Minnie Pal. If its a white ring type stain from a hot plate or similar find somebody who smokes. Ask them to keep the cigarette ash for you. Then get a damp cloth dip in the ash and rub into the stain. This usually removes the ring. You may have to do it a few times but it works. Hope this helps. Regards

![]() Hi Minni pal, sounds to me from your description that you have got an Ercol side table. They were as far as I know the only manufacturer who made these tables in a kidney shape,They made them as nests of 3 tables-graduating in size and they all fitted into each other.Very sought after pieces of Retro furniture-originally cost a fortune so be on the look out for the rest of the set!
Best wishes Dalespat |

![]() Hi Minni Pal,
The website for ercol is www.ercol.com and if you look under nests of tables they are now doing this classic range in black. There is a photo so it may help you to identify your table. Best of luck Dalespat |
