The emails you are receiving are "notification emails" automatically generated by JumbleTown whenever someone makes a post on an ad/thread you have also made a post on. When you make a post on an ad/thread, you have the option of "subscribing" or "unsubscribing" to the activity on that ad/thread. This keeps you up to date on the Giving and Taking process. The subscription option box is at the very bottom of the pop-up page where you write your post enquiring about an item.
