Default Retro chair Rags to Riches

Picked this up off another site locally, was destined for the skip if nobody rescued it.
Had hoped to do it like it was but it had other ideas when trying to fix the fabric on as not even staples would stay in. So it got a make over. Didn't have enough fabric to do the seat, but I didn't really want that anyway so I used oilcloth instead and a 20" cushion to bolster it. I also filled in the the missing foam bits on the back/arms. I tacked the fabric in place.........ahh comfy! This is definitely the chics chair...lol

Gormal, you are amazing. Looking at the Before picture, I just couldn't imagine it being a chair again. Brilliant work.

Thankyou all for the support. My partner thought I had gone insane when I asked him to come with me to collect it. But was quite impressed by the end result, or perhaps by the fact that I managed it!!!
Maggied thats fine. There's no rush.
Eibhlin I had thought the seat might be orange, but there was only green left in the shop.

wow that's fantastic, i never would have thought of restoring a chair that was in that condition, wouldn't even know where to start, fair play to ya!!!

I wanted to put my Black Leather Suite (the famous one the dog chewed) on here but my hubby was embarassed that i would offer it to anyone, but if anyone out there did want to try restore it they're welcome to it (outside at the moment)

Eibhlin, Unapam, Gormal, I have prepared the biggest bedroom for you all and you are invited to spend the next 2 months here as my very special bestest guests and I promise I won't be upset if you give my house a makeover!
