![]() i got about 30 free planks from decking today. don't know whether treated. probably as outdoor decking. can i use them for the side of my raised bed. furthermore will they need new treatment if being put next to soil

I have just made 4 raised beds with floorboards. Make sure to support well at each corner. My beds are just over 2 foot high, so easy to work with. I lined mine with thick plastic for prorection. Also if yoy want to stop the slugs having a good dinner. Get some old copper wire and run a band half way up raised beds. Slugs will not cross over copper wire. Also you will need to protect the plants / veg from the birds. I got a pack of the netting Aldi / Lidl had and covered the lot. Seems to be working well. Good luck |
