![]() Two years ago I found a lovely pattern for a patchwork Advent Calendar. I really wanted to make it for my daughter. So I had a look in my stash, in local charity shops and our old clothes.
The base materials were pillow- and cushion covers, the angels and hearts are made from scraps of materials, buttons from JT (thank you!), trees from felt I got on JT (thank you!), backing an old bed sheet. The hardest part was the binding as I couldn't find enough green material anywhere. This was a man's shorts in former life, expertly disected and reused by my Mum :) Here, credits go to my Mum on this as I did only the fabric hunting and cutting then was busy feeding my little one while my Mum did the sewing :) |
