![]() A problem on most cars now that they plastic lens, but a job you can do yourself. A special cleaning kit is available from most motor factors but a cheaper method is as follows - Wash any dirt from the lights and dry them and the area around. Use masking tape ( 3 or 4 layers ) to protect your paint work around the lights and using a wet sandpaper of fine grade,( the higher the number the finer the paper ) sand vertically and then across. important to keep the sandpaper wet and take your time. Continue with the same process using finer paper and finally the finest paper you can get. Time taken will be about 30 mins. When finished wash lens and dry using a lint free cloth. You can seal the lens then with a plastic sealer available from a motor factors. Walk away - Job done. IMPORTANT to use the wet ( black ) sandpaper.

![]() Toothpaste!! Found this on ehow.com. Rub it on with a dry cloth, it's a mild abrasive, and then just rinse with water. The before and after pics on this are amazing. (And it's cheap and something you have already at home!)

![]() I had no idea about the toothpaste. I have friends in CA and they buy a kit because of the sand that hits the headlights and mars them I will give them this tip and see if it works. Thanks
