![]() Firstly the scrolled pattern at the top has to go and the handles . The drawer fronts will be slate . The colour will be distressed ivory . I may make some other changes ,old cup hooks wood slips on the shelves to hold the plates or maybe a plate rack.

![]() Hi Slaty, beautiful piece of furniture. I'm planning on doing one of these up myself. Thinking of experimenting with "chalk" paint in a distressed look. Definitely wouldn't get rid of scrolled top as i think it adds character to it. You should have a look at Pinterest. Brilliant site with great ideas for upscaling old furniture. Don't forget to put your usual progress pics. Would love to see them.
