![]() i wish you luck with this endeavour!
most pallets are machine stapled and some are extremly difficult to seperate, also the wood is not treated and will rot in no time if not properly sealed. just my thoughts, i tried it! kilk |

![]() Hi,
Good luck with your project! Oh, and I'm not being sarcastic, I really mean it. You could also make garden gates, rabbit hutches, chicken coops, dog kennels, etc. Although the timber is not pre-treated you can re-cycle waste oil from your lawnmower, car, quads, tractors etc, to paint the wood hence waterproofing it. I've done that with my garden fence and it makes it lovely and dark, you can also mix the oil with creasote substitute 50/50, for a darker mix. Would love to see photos to see how you get on, and as I said earlier.....Bon Chance! |

![]() Tapping the timbers apart will not work, the boards will crack and break.
I punch the heads of the nails in first and then pries the boards apart with a bar with a bend at one end to remove the boards even |

![]() Thanks wheelbarrow for the advice, i got the job done today, im quite happy with the result.
It was not too difficult, some of the timbers did crack but i still used them, adds to the effect i think. |

![]() go for it! if you can get pallets, just take your time and dont worry if some timbers break, you can still use them as i did.
Plus your making something for your garden so it doesent have to be 100%. Thanks all for the positive feed back. Got to look out for more pallets now. |

![]() That's great. Well done. It's fiddly work getting them apart.
You could probably make a table too, to go with your bench. And if you have a jigsaw, maybe a trellis for your climbers in the garden. Or a little feature like a wishing well........ just some ideas! |
