![]() Hi everybody, just discovered a cheap alternative to buying an electric blanket.
You know when you get into bed first you spend the first 10mins shivering on the cold sheet? Well that was me and was going to buy an electric blanket but was skint after Xmas, as you are, so had this smallish fleece blanket and decided to use that for the moment. Absolutely brilliant, combined with a brushed cotton ( flannellette ) duvet cover! You put it on over the bottom sheet and it dries in the tumble dryer in a few minutes. PS. Does anybody know where I can buy brushed cotton duvet covers other than Dunnes Stores, who only have one design in two colours, of which I have both. |

![]() Try Shaws or as its now called Debenhams.. Think i saw some there in the sales. Yes i once had one of those fleecy blankets, i'd put it over my mattress & over that i'd place flanalette sheets.... pure bliss! Nothing like being as snug as a bug in a rug!! :)

![]() I think either Aldi or Lidl had sheet sets recently with fitted sheet and flat sheet pack. I bring the cosy to another level. I put a duvet under the mattress protector so you get that snuggly feeling when you get in, fewer drafts too!
